Rey Ramsey
Chief Executive Officer
Rey Ramsey is CEO of Centri Capital and Director at Centri Tech Foundation. He has devoted his career to building and leading social enterprises with a particular emphasis on housing equity and expanding access to technology in low-income communities. After serving as Oregon‘s Director of Housing and Community Services, Mr. Ramsey held successive positions as President and COO of Enterprise Community Partners, Chairman of Habitat for Humanity International; and founding CEO and Chairman of One Economy Corporation, a nonprofit provider of internet services to low-income homes.
Additionally, he served as President and CEO, of TechNet, a bipartisan network of tech executives representing two million employees and $800 billion in revenues. Mr. Ramsey has served as Chairman of the NAACP Futures Commission, and now serves as a director on numerous boards, including Morgan Stanley Institute for Sustainability, MMGL Real Estate, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and the Washington Jesuit Academy. He is a Trustee and member of the Investment Committee at The Nathan Cummings Foundation.
Howie Hodges
Managing Director, External Relations
Howie has spent twenty-five years building bridges and connecting people to capital markets , technology, economic development, and government. He was corporate vice president for Time Warner Cable and Charter Communications, where he led and managed all external affairs with a variety of coalitions, and stakeholders and helped win the FCC’s approval of the $78.7 billion dollar merger. Before joining Time Warner Cable, Howie was senior vice president and manager for government affairs at One Economy Corporation, where he managed the “Bring IT Home America” campaign to promote in-home, affordable broadband connectivity in low and moderate-income households in 75 cites, municipalities, and other entities.
Susan Newton Rhodes
Managing Director, Investments
Susan Newton Rhodes leads fund investments at Centri Capital. She has three decades of experience developing and deploying capital investment strategies for institutional and philanthropic investors. Director of Summit Consulting in social investments division, facilitating $1.7B into communities over last four years. Prior experience includes the establishment of The Enterprise Foundation’s national lending activities under its affiliate, Enterprise Housing and Financial Services, where she was President. Enterprise remains one of the largest CDFIs in the country. As Vice President and Manager at First Union National Bank, she was responsible for portfolio and asset management of $1 billion in commercial real estate loans. Has served on numerous non-profit boards.
Jackson Stolar
Director of Impact and Sustainability
A Centri employee for 5-years, Jackson has served various functions in business development and executive support. Jackson is responsible for driving critical business outcomes for the organization and expanding market reach in southeast and northeast regions of the U.S.
Jackson currently leads the Sustainability Division of Centri, focusing on driving environmental impacts across all projects. He is an experienced Impact Investing and Real Estate professional with a Bachelor of Arts – BA in Environmental Studies from Rhodes College.
Michael Staples
Head of Administration
Michael Staples oversees the treasury, corporate governance, compliance, and administrative functions of the firm and its affiliated nonprofit, Centri Tech Foundation. He is a Certified Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Professional and a graduate of Liberty University. In addition to impact investing and affordable housing related private equity, his professional experience comprises a variety of industries including technology consulting and telecom products manufacturing, primarily in executive management level positions within start-up and growth stage companies. He has a passion for impact and mission-oriented ventures and specializes in enterprise systems, financial modeling and optimizing organizational infrastructure for scalability and operational efficiency.
Matthew Snider
Director, Investment Strategy
In addition to his role as SVP Strategy and Business Development for Centri Tech, Matthew joins Centri Capital as its Director of Investment Strategy. He began his post-MBA career as a management consultant at both Big4 and boutique firms specializing in financial / liquidity risk management and marketing data analytics. Beginning in 2016, he became an active participant in many nascent cryptocurrency projects and began engaging executive teams about the benefits of building go-to-market solutions for blockchain-based innovations. He received his MBA from Loyola Marymount University and his BA in economics from Boston University.
